What Are The Eligibility Requirements To Take The Course?
- Students must be at least 21 years-old.
- Students must be a resident of North Carolina a least 30 days prior to taking the course.
- Students must be eligible to purchase a firearm in NC.

What Do I Need To Bring?

Classroom: An attentive mind and note taking material. Food will not be provided. Water will be available in the classroom.

IMPORTANT:
***NO LIVE AMMUNITION IS ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM***DO NOT BRING A LOADED FIREARM INTO THE CLASSROOM***

If you do not want to leave your firearm in your vehicle, you my bring it in *cleared of all ammunition* in a holster, portable safe, or pistol case. You must inform the instructor and allow them to check the condition of your firearm. No acceptations.

Range: Ear Protection and Eye Protection. Please purchase them independently before the class. Students who do not bring ear and eye protection must buy some from Armed Margins for an additional fee. You do not need to have a firearm and ammunition before signing up, however you will have to rent a firearm and purchase ammunition from Armed Margins if you do not bring your own.

What If I Don't Have A Firearm?

You may rent a firearm and purchase ammunition provided by Armed Margins for an additional $15.

When Does The Class Start & End?

This course is divided between two days. Friday evening from 6:30pm-10:30pm for part one of the classroom setting. Saturday morning from 10am-11am for the required firearm proficiency test. A 1 hour lunch break. Then back to the classroom from 12:00pm-4:00pm for the remaining four hours and the required multiple choice exam.

Why Only $45?

Armed Margins was created to make quality firearms training more accessible to everyone. North Carolina’s permitting laws have their historical roots in Slave Codes and Jim Crow as a way to disarm segments of the population the government was intent on controlling. Overtime governments have dropped the explicitly racist language of Slave Codes while keeping the spirit of those laws in place.

As such, our low cost is a direct counter to this barrier to carry a firearm. Our $45 Greensboro based concealed carry class is low enough to maintain the class, meet the requirements of the State, and not be cost prohibitive to the vast majority of people.
